There are <strong>different roles for different people<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practitioners:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure self-evaluation and planning for improvement is <strong>at the core of their day-to-day work<\/strong>, so they are able to continue to <strong>improve the quality<\/strong> of their work, and support other practitioners to reflect on and improve their practice;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure an outcome focussed approach; and<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to improving quality within their CLD provision, including actively sharing their practice and taking ownership of their own professional development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Service Users:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With support, <strong>participate in and contribute to\u00a0<\/strong>self-evaluation processes, wherever practicable.\u00a0 Service user involvement is <strong>absolutely key<\/strong> to useful self evaluation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Participate in and contribute to\u00a0<\/strong>self-evaluation processes, wherever practicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Managers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure processes are in place to <strong>support self-evaluation amongst practitioners<\/strong>, including\u00a0relevant opportunities for professional development;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote a culture <\/strong>that motivates\u00a0practitioners to focus on achieving positive outcomes and <strong>values self-evaluation<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Provide <strong>clarity<\/strong> about priority need and set performance targets to meet those needs; and<\/li>\n<li>Gather together <strong>evidence<\/strong>, assessing and monitoring <strong>impact<\/strong> across their area of responsibility, <strong>reporting<\/strong> to relevant stakeholders, such as strategic partnerships, Council and external funders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As many people as possible who have\u00a0a connection to the activity or project should be involved in self-evaluation.
